I think it's the just like how most author with different genre. Even in manga or anime, they have genre like sports anime, or mecha anime, or plain old slife of life anime. But this novel with this kind of genre just want to add a slice of cherry on top with romance, which is yuri. I've seen novel with their centre of focus is online gaming.
