  1. well, not bad. at least the racism here is minimal except for the jurchen/manchu. the author seems to know how to play, not to mention race and religion here. what? about the final arch ? isn't it a fact that the people of the papacy consider people who follow a religion other than them to be heretics? huh!

  2. The reason why Northern Song Dynasty perished, in addition corruption and weak military, is because Zhao Ji (Song Huizong) desired toward immortality. He transfer many Taoist Stones(I don't know what real name is but just called it taoist stones) from Jiangnan to Kaifeng. Because of that, many peoples in Jiangnan suffered. What happened in Jiangnan become time Bomb and that's why Fang La uprising appeared. Corrupted Song Government spent much moneys just to quell Fang La rebellion. Not recovered after Fang La uprising, Jurchen invaded and Northern Song perished. I want to laugh if fictional histories become cultivation novel because they forget that there are 2 dynasties perished because of desire for immortality, Northern Song and Qin Dynasty. I don't mind cultivation novel but using history is not my liking. Eventhough Song is weak, but Song is rich. Pre-steam industry had been formed. Many technology had been advance like shipyard and steel-iron making. Don't forget, there is gunpowder! Southern Song Dynasty manage to repel Jurchen and not advance to Southern Yangtze was because of gunpowder. Seriously, if cultivation is really exist, Song Dynasty NEVER perished. Song Dynasty choose scholars rather than martial artists and make military power of Song is weak. You said scholar has many tricks. But in the face of greater power, the tricks is not useful. Those cultivators just used his power to make those scholars bow down to them. I don't know martial school in manchuria and mongol. Jurchen manage to conquer northern china is because of their strong cavalry. After Jurchen, mongol come. Mongols manage to conquer 1/8 of world because of their strong cavalry and GUNPOWDER, not a flashy move named cultivation.

  3. Honestly, if the chinese don't have the tendency to let corrupt people to be in power then they will already be the strongest world superpower rn. Ufortunately they have a weird curse where when their country has reach it's peak, it will immediately go on a downhill trend faster than Amber Heard's reputation.

  4. My dissatisfactions aside this is a good story although the ending was a bit rushed and could have been extended to another hundred chapters overviewing the European wars.

  5. I thought that I had already seen all the ridiculous things in this novel but I never thought that the author would give me such a big surprise.......MC wants to convert the empire into a parliamentary monarchy.......this is too idiotic, stupid, foolish and braindead move.......the author really went down with it.......in the 12th century AD when half of the world is unknown and god knows how much the literacy rate is in the empire, when wars occur like yearly festival, at this time he wants to convert to the empire in a pseudo democracy........does he not think that in the future the elected parliament or ministers can overthrow the Song dynasty........this seriously makes me confused about the hypocrisy of Chinese........the author is a Chinese and he is showing us that even in ancient time a Chinese person has not forgotten his moral values and is the defender of people and the paragon of democracy but the most laughable thing is that he comes from a country whose government was established by overthrowing a democratically elected government, where the people who once speak against the government don't see the light of day ever again.......really ridiculous.

  6. He wants to convert the monarchic society into democratic society in a time period when the monarchy reigned supreme and inferiors obeyed superiors.
