It's actually a pretty nice read in the first 200-ish chapters or so, from a pre- post-apocalyptic world, up to the point where the meteor falls and zombies are created. Then, we have the expected post-apocalyptic roadtrip genre, complete with finding friends and fighting monsters. Around 200-210, I'm checking out for now and I don't know when I'll be back. Why? Because the MC/FL was injured in an explosion, survived but lost her memories with only a worried bird helping her. Meanwhile the ML is depressed trying to find her and only finding explosion remains and thinking the worst. Come on, man, I'm here for a good adventure, not dogblood drama. Ugh. If anyone knows when they'll get reunited, and more importantly, when she's remember him again, that would be great, thanks.
"Bringing My Whole Family Out to Fight Monsters in the Apocalypse" has a similar vibe at the beginning (MC and ML as main characters, plus some family and comrades from the ML's unit), but it _doesn't_ hit the levels of dogblood drama that happened here.
