This is cute but it does get boring when 5 or 6 chapters in a row are just about eating a meal.
I am not sure why the author (and the FL) are treating the merman prince as if he is different from the nobles the FL detests. From his thought you can see he is just as shallow, just as greedy, just as scheming, just as insincere as those nobles. All of them want a marriage connection purely for selfish reasons. In fact the merman prince is the third most unlikeable character after Robert and Lola. It feels like the author just wants to complete a set; the elven Prince, the Orc Prince, and now the Merman Prince all chasing the female lead. I wonder if we are going to get a human prince next.
In fact my interest in the novel died with that Merman Prince.
