not bad story being able to use the flame to get stronger is a pretty diffrent way of things love the killing the asshole at the beging of the story line too lol

Has a fairly similar premise and beginning as Swallowed Star. Personally, I found it a bit boring, but these days I find most Xianxia novels boring so can't say this any worse. 2/5.
The way MC got his cheat is too coincidental, like an arranged plot armor (being chased by zerg and jump to river and coincidentally being chose by the flame). Well, it's still better than being accidentally struck by lightning and suddenly got OP eyes ability (King of God novel 🤭). Most likely this is oldie novel since the plot premise and the cover is both looks old.
Apparently you didn't read the beginning right, the eye was on the ground, the protagonist coincidentally found it on a stormy night.
