Although im not really sure, but i think Earth's fighting skill/martial arts are far better than Asgard's.. for example i believe even Odin cant defeat Steve Roger, Natasha, or Hawkeye if they all have the same "mortal" body
Are you listening to yourself? The ASGUARDIANS live for over 5000 years. And they are all war born species. Even if you give them all mortal bodies to even out the playing field, just their eons of battle experience and will makes the ASGUARDIANS infinitely more stronger. Overall, you got dogshit takes.

Power != fighting skills. According to Marvel, using Thor as a random example, he has a fighting skill rating of 4. Meanwhile, various earthlings have much higher fighting skills rated at 5 or 6. Black Widow, for example, is rated at 6 along with several other assassin-types. It's randomly worth noting that our buddy Logan is rated at 7, basically shitting on Thor. You have to keep in mind SHIELD is also under the World Council and is also related to the military and other government bodies, so now we have Osborne who is one of the richest men in America and who also has strong ties to the America military (super serum/soldiers project and biological weapons) so it's normal for the military to hand it over to shield. That was also the reason included in the novel.
