adapted to anime though, and the anime looks cool, maybe it could be cool
Anime adaptation is more often than not a sign of it actually being mediocre rather than good. Good stories require intelligence from the reader while companies want to reach as wide an audience as possible so they mostly adapt shit that's incredibly mid. Look at like 95% of ALL isekai anime; awful generic garbage that's not even worth being used as a toilet paper.
