Novel Summary

The eldest daughter of Hou Di of Anding, who fled for her life, was concussed by someone slapped with a brick. When she woke up, she became the young daughter-in-law of a farm family.

There are many crises outside, and I am afraid that my life will not be guaranteed. Xi Yao feels that the vest cannot be dropped, nor can it be dropped in death…

In order not to be driven away, Xi Yao, who worked hard, accidentally became the group pet of the Zhou family, and everyone protected her.

Zhou Rong, who had never seen a bride since he was a child, was blackmailed by his father-in-law. He even exploited the money to take the exam. He married a sick wife. OK, absolutely impossible.

In order to express his position, Zhou Rong spoke coldly and ruthlessly, and then found that his little daughter-in-law treated the family’s milk baby better than him…

He thinks that his daughter-in-law is very good, and thinks that he can still work hard…

  1. A pretty solid example of its genre, which is a talented modern person transmigrated to a historical era in a parallel universe, and then tries to introduce new stuff that they know to improve their own/their family's standard of living. The beginning is kinda stereotypical, and the interaction between the MC and the ML is hard to get properly unless you understand the subtle signs that they're tsundere for each other. After the first 50 chapters or so, they start being more honest and the relationship is more well-balanced. I actually enjoyed it alright because it has one of the few established relationship dynamics that feels real, in that I'm pretty sure the writer has/is married of had been in a long-term relationship. The main couple feels real _and_ intimate as they showed their stupid sides to each other, not just their competent/cool sides that's visible at the beginning. (Part 1/?)

  2. I'm adding a reply to my own comment because the comment section here doesn't have a paragraph system. It's going to get too unwieldy to read otherwise. I've read past Ch 1050 already, the chapters are actually shorter than most, and I've mastered the art of fast-reading MTLs. The mistranslation isn't egregious, so it's fine, though some typos in the original Chinese does make the rare sentence get translated weird. This novel is also on the more pragmatic end of the spectrum of pragmatism-idealism. It doesn't kill important characters willy-nilly (not at all), but not all important or notable friendships/relationships of the MCs stay as strong as they were in the beginning. Sad, but real. All banquets will end and the road to hell is paved with good intentions and all that (Part 2/?)

  3. Oh, on how the established relationship feels real, there are a couple of points. Do you know how freaking tired I am of the c-novel trope where one of the partners in a romantic relationship can't get up the next day because they had sex?? I mean, I get it if it was a female character's first night, but continuously without end or abatement?? That doesn't happen in real life. I always suspect abuse in that case, or someone has some hardcore kinks. This doesn't happen here. It's mostly the female lead/MC waking up late or past morning because she'd stayed up late during the night. Sometimes, there's mention of aches, but that's it. There's also the MC and ML's habit of discussing about their plans or what obstacle they're trying to overcome with each other. It really feels like they're a team, and someone who cherishes the other's opinion as well as two people who are building their future together, not just two people who happen to have sex often. So, past the first 50 chapters or so, it's a nice comfort read for the main couple's ease, trust and intimacy with each other. (Part 3/3)

  4. Not bad, little iffy in the beginning but gotten a lot better later on. Now I'm half way thru the novel. But I'm curious if she the FL is just a person from the current time or from the future and transmigrated to the elder daughter that escaped. She has a lot of ideas, etc. Between the capital and the farming town and cities in between, it can't be that big a difference in the stuff she makes or does right?

  5. Lmaooo the two poison testers are revolting!! They say it's obviously poison, why put it in the mouth!!! Uhh but it really does look like poison. Seniors, this junior won't take the risk, it's too deadly to my heart of the dao.
